Residency and Fellowship Information

Residency programs are post-professional programs designed to enhance clinical skills and decision-making in a specialty area of physical therapy. A residency candidate must be a licensed physical therapist in the state in which the program is located. A fellowship program is different, and its focus is to advance practice in a sub specialty area primarily after specialization.

Pennsylvania currently has 24 accredited residency/fellowships. To find out more about possible residency programs, we encourage interested applicants to contact the residency's program director to learn more. Each program is different and offers varying experiences. It is important to match your learning style and interests with an appropriate program.
