Free Webinar Recording: Review of 2021 Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule and Efforts To Fight the 9% Cut

APTA staff has recorded a 35-minute presentation about the proposed 2021 CMS Physician Fee Schedule Rule that includes a review of the rule (1:08); APTA’s legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts to fight the 9% cut, including press and social media (9:18); and ways that you and others can get involved, including our grassroots efforts (28:36). Please share this presentation with others who you think may be interested in learning more about the rule, current APTA efforts, and opportunities for both members and nonmembers to advocate against a pay cut that will impact the profession at a time when access to quality patient care is critical.

APTA members also are invited to an Aug. 19 Payment and Regulatory Update at 2:00 p.m. ET - a live Q&A session on advocacy and the physician fee schedule rule. (Free registration is required. Capacity is limited, so register early. The Q&A session will be recorded and made available to members who cannot attend.)

Fight the 9% Cut – Advocacy Opportunities

We’re at a critical crossroads. The profession needs your voice and we need it now. Contact your Members of Congress. Contact your Members of Congress and let them know that Congress must take immediate action to stop the 9% cut. Taking action now and in the days ahead is vital to the future of the profession and patients. Template letters are available for both members and non-members, including the general public.

Submit comments to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

It is very important that everyone submit comments to CMS in response to the 2021 Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule, which includes the proposal to cut payment to physical therapy by an estimated 9%. Tell CMS that it must stop the 9% cut to physical therapy. APTA offers publicly accessible, customizable template letters for PTs/PTAs/students and patients to use to submit to CMS via APTA’s Regulatory Action Center

View the instructions on how to submit comments to CMS.
