About APTA Pennsylvania

APTA Pennsylvania is a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and we are pleased that you have take this opportunity to learn more about us. 

APTA Pennsylvania’s core purpose and mission is to represent, advocate and advance the practice of physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

APTA Pennsylvania is one of 50 State Chapters within the APTA and currently represents more than 5200 physical therapist and physical therapist assistant members and over 1000 student members across the Commonwealth. In addition, it represents seven Districts (Northcentral, Northeast, Northwest, Southcentral, Southeast, Southwest, and Westcentral) of the Commonwealth and seven Special Interest Groups (SIGs) consisting of Acute Care, Geriatric, Neurology, Pediatric, Physical Therapist Assistant, Private Practice and Student.
