Course Objectives: In December 2021, the Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) for the Physical Therapist Management of Parkinson's Disease (PD) was published in the Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal. This webinar will review the 12 recommendations and 2 best practice statements for physical therapist management of adults with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. The discussion will then be focused on the application of recommendations to clinical practice and where future research will be focused. The discussion will conclude by emphasizing the importance of linking back recommendations for clinical practice to the person living with Parkinson’s disease in order to ensure application to function and improvements in quality of life.
