Course Objectives:
1. Explore the research associated with Tai Chi as pertaining to desired PT outcomes
2. Discuss principles of PNF patterns, weight shift, and motor control.
3. Share my opinion and experience with Tai Chi as a GCS
4. Instruct participants on the Tai Chi for Health Institute's Tai Chi for Rehabilitation sequence

More about the speaker:
Dr. Nikki N. Imhoff earned her Bachelors's Degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2002. She is a 2009 Graduate from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program here at Saint Francis University where she received the 2009 Research Excellence Award. Most of her experience takes place in skilled nursing and long-term care settings, leading her to pursue a Geriatric Certified Specialty in 2014. Nikki has clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, home health therapy, outpatient orthopedics, and pediatric physical therapy. Prior to attending Saint Francis University, Nikki enjoyed working in the fields of nutrition and fitness, and has twelve years of experience teaching group exercise classes. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
