Speakers: Dr. Rosemaire Petrilla, DPT

About the Speaker: Dr. Petrilla earned a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Physical Therapy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1988. In 2004, she earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University. Dr. Petrilla recently became a Certified Primal Health and Well Coach and owns The Primal Professor: Health Coaching for a Sustainable Low Carb Lifestyle. Dr. Petrilla has been an instructor at Pennsylvania State University for 32 years, the Program Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program since 2001 and was promoted to full teaching professor in 2018. She has been an onsite reviewer for the Commission on Physical Therapy Education since 2005 and a team leader for 12 onsite reviews. During that time, she served as a Hazleton Campus Senator to the University Faculty Senate for 11 years. Her primary teaching responsibilities include Pathophysiology, Electrophysiology, and modalities. She concentrates her research on metabolic disease, chronic illness, and the correlation between insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, and prediabetes
