Title: Multi District Meeting: Burnout In Health Care: Compassion Centered Self-Care Strategies To Enhance Provider Well-Being and Support Optimal Delivery of Patient Care

Course Description: Burnout is a very prevalent type of stress among health professionals. It has the potential to affect their well-being, performance, and attitude toward patients. An increasing body of research shows that mindful awareness training in healthcare settings can promote positive attitudes among clinicians, enhance well-being, reduce and prevent burnout, and strengthen patient-provider relationships. This presentation will provide evidence-based mindfulness practices that clinicians can immediately implement to attain optimal health and well-being. Included will be strategies to assist the clinician with better patient management and treatment outcomes, fewer errors and legal troubles, and an overall more favorable healthcare environment for all.

First 30 minutes (7:00-7:30 pm) will be a combined district meeting followed by 1 hour con ed from 7:30-8:30pm
