Movement System Diagnoses for Neuromuscular Conditions: Framework Overview and Clinical Application

June 16, 2025 at 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Location: Virtual

Hosted by the Neurology SIG

This webinar is tailored for PTs and PTAs who work with patients with neurological deficits. We will discuss the Movement System Diagnoses Framework as it relates to patients with neuromuscular conditions. Traditionally, patients are classified by health conditions or diseases. However, we all know that two patients who have a "stroke" (i.e. their health condition), may present with vastly different impairments and, in turn, functional mobility. The Movement System Diagnoses Framework helps clinicians to categorize patients by their type of movement system problem, allowing for examination and treatment of patients that align with familiar physical therapy parameters. After an overview of the framework, participants can expect to apply the concepts to patient cases.
