Mentorship Program Call - Neurology Mentor Group Session

This session will be hosted via conference call and will consist of a brief 15-minute presentation by Dr. Roca followed by a question and answer session with participants. This call is open to all PPTA members interested in neurology. Call-in instructions will be sent directly to all participants prior to the call on Jan. 8.If you have any questions, please contact PPTA Membership Chair Lauren Bilski.


The PPTA Mentorship Program aims to connect students, new professionals, and those looking for opportunity to grow, with a variety of experienced PPTA mentors. The program will consist of informal small group sessions via conference calling to discuss topics related to clinical practice areas, leadership, and clinical decision making. 

About Courtney Roca, PT, DPT, NCS:
Dr. Roca earned her entry-level DPT degree in 2006 from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She continued her education and training post-graduation in the areas of vestibular and neurologic rehabilitation. She earned her vestibular certification at Emory University in 2011 and became certified as an ABPTS Neurological Clinical Specialist in 2015. She has practiced as a full-time clinician in a variety of practice environments including acute care and hospital-based outpatient settings and, most currently, serves as a full-time faculty member in the DPT program at Gannon University. This diverse experience in academic and clinical environments has provided her the opportunity to participate in many leadership and mentor roles at a variety of levels, both formally and informally. Work towards her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree (Ed.D.) has also commenced with an anticipated completion date of August 2020.
