Dr. Jennifer McComb, who is the Section Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Medical Director of Critical Care Services at UPMC Shadyside, will be presenting 3 patient cases of COVID-19 infections who had survived the acute illness but with 3 with varying long term consequence and outcomes from this illness.  Dr. McComb will show some of the early evidence looking at the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 “long haulers” and what sorts of things are in place to help diagnose and treat these patients as health care deals with the ongoing pandemic.

Course Description:
During this course we will review the epidemiology of the pandemic. Using case studies and global data to illustrate the long term sequelae of the COVID 19 infection. Discuss long term pulmonary issues and post-COVID syndrome.
