Title: Locomotor Training after Neurologic Injury: A Paradigm Shift presented by Brittany Kennedy, PT, DPT, NCS 

Description: This is a one hour course to focused on outlining the methodology and concepts behind High Intensity Gait Training in the neurologic population. We will discuss research behind this technique and practical approaches to add this concept in clinical practice.

More About the Speaker:
Brittany Kennedy, PT, DPT, NCS is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy. Dr. Kennedy currently is a practicing clinician at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI where she works in the outpatient setting with individuals with a wide range of neurologic conditions and mentors in their residency program. She is adjunct faculty at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, where she teaches the Advanced Topics in Neurologic Physical Therapy class and Neuroanatomy lab. In addition, she is a recurring guest lecturer each semester at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is a 2012 graduate of the DPT program at St. Francis University and completed the Marquette University/Zablocki VAMC Neurologic Residency Program in 2013. She is a classifier for the United States Quad Rugby Association and the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. She also volunteers with organizations that bring adaptive recreation options to the greater Milwaukee community. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy.
