Description: This course focuses on explaining the normal aging process in the cardiovascular and pulmonary (CV&P) systems of the older adult, and explores how the physical therapist (PT) can better manage the older adult client who may have 1 or more of the many common CV&P pathologies. This course also delves into the pharmacologic implications that PTs should be aware of when treating those with CV&P disorders, and on how to provide clients with an appropriate aerobic exercise prescription.
