Directions:
From the turnpike, take US-222N. Follow US-222 N to Cumru Township. Take the exit toward US-222 BUS/Lancaster Ave/Shillington. Follow Lancaster Ave and turn R onto S. Kenhorst Blvd. Turn L on New Holland Rd. Bear R onto Upland Ave. Turn R onto St. Bernadine St. Turn L into The Tom and Helen Flynn Health Plex. Once in the building, there is an elevator to the R. Go down to the first floor and the DPT Department is down to the R.

Course Title: Contemporary Wound Care: New Concepts or Not? presented by Pamela G. Unger, PT, CWS

Course description:
This course will address standard wound principles with a contemporary lens. Taking the accepted standards of care and merging them with new technology. The course will look at dressings, biophysical agents, reimbursement, and the role of Physical Therapy in wound management.

More About The Speaker:
Pam is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Her successful physical therapy career has spanned over 40 years as an executive, clinician, educator and reimbursement expert navigating the wound care, medical device and rehabilitation markets. Her specialization in wound care has led her career in unique and interesting directions. Her proudest accomplishment was the establishment of a multi-disciplinary wound care programs and algorithms that still exists today.  This endeavor allowed her to forge powerful relationships with key professionals and accounts in the wound care marketplace. It also required the effective communicate and collaboration inter-professionally.

Pam has also served as President of the PPTA and the Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management Academy.

The uniqueness of her specialization within physical therapy required her to be an advocate for her patients and the profession, particularly from a reimbursement perspective. She worked closely with the American Physical Therapy Association in the development and maintenance of the Active Wound Management CPT codes. This experience has allowed me to develop dynamic and successful health policy teams that continually exceed expectations in the reimbursement arena.

Pam has authored over 50 publications and multiple book chapters. She has presented extensively in the United States and internationally.  She currently is a member of the Editorial Board of Today’s Wound Clinic. Pam is currently the ACCE at Alvernia University.
