Course Title: Common Radiographic Vertebral Findings in Geriatrics presented by Joseph N. Pasquino, DC, PT, CCSP, ART

Course Description:
The participant will learn a basic foundation for viewing bony radiographs and associated criteria that should be taken in consideration for analysis. Common categories of bone diseases will be outlined allowing the clinician to understand there is a system to viewing in a logical order. Radiographic images with markers will be discussed in normal and geriatric findings.  The goal will be to improve the decision making pattern resulting in more definitive impressions while viewing film.

More About the Speaker: 
Dr. Pasquino completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University 1979. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1984 from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago and began his Physical Therapy Program from the School of Health Related Professions at the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. Specializing in sports injuries and spinal care, Dr. Pasquino has worked in private practice settings involving physical medicine, orthopedics, family practice and nutrition. In 1987, he began his work in the home health care field.

In late 2001, Dr. Pasquino earned his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. By 2005, he was certified in Active Release Techniques Soft -Tissue Management System by P. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP in spine, upper and lower extremities, specializing in peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Pasquino has been active in viewing spinal and extremity radiological images at various settings in a variety of age populations. He presently serves as Supervisor of Rehab Services at EXCELA Health Home Care and Hospice.
